The Life and Commitment to Our Cause
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void;.." -Genesis 1:1-2 KJV
Like a blank canvas, the Lord created all things. With a special affinity, He knitted together the lives of men and women to fulfill the purposes He designed for each one personally. In early years of life, many have hopes and dreams of what their purpose in life may be, until the world around them becomes too dark and evil; changing their hearts and hope of the future. And some become homeless. Some end up in mental hospitals, like Van Gogh.
While in the needy places, there is work that can be done. But it takes people who believe in you, who help you, and provision of access to the necessities of that work you are made for. Van Gogh had family that sold his art that he painted while institutionalized. He had all the paint supplies needed. He had shelter while being treated for mental illness, as well as daily food and hygiene needs being met.
A Starry Night: Life, Meaning, & Happenstance parallels the life of Van Gogh with some of the lives our organization serves. It is our desire to offer a transformative evening of a live play in progress theater performance and readings, combined with fine dining, while raising funds for the work of Reality & Truth Ministries, so that like Van Gogh, our communities' physical and spiritual needs will be lovingly met.
